Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel says dating is difficult because men are always out to impress. Dating can be difficult for models.
Fellow angel Erin Heatherton and Candice were discussing the impacts of being models on their love lives. The are both happy to have jobs that they love but admit it does affect their relationships. Erin is in a stable relationship already but Candice has no boyfriend and is “just dating” at the moment.
“I think it’s harder to date as an angel, when people meet you it’s hard to look past our job, what we look like. They are always trying to impress you, you know, like, ‘Come to my mansion blah blah blah,’” she explained.
Erin agrees it can make things strange, although she’s happy with her life. She’s currently single and does go on dates, but for her an ideal night is spent with friends. She enjoys having dinner with them, then going to dance to “really gangster hip-hop songs”.
The two models recently shot a commercial for the underwear giant in Prague. Erin insists she was fine about stripping off as she’s used to people seeing her with few clothes on. Read more at the Belfast Telegraph.
I really think it is genetic in men to want to impress women. They probably feel more threatened around stunningly beautiful women such as Candice ant try to compensate by boasting about their successes. It’s nice to see people such as Candice with such a level headed attitude to fame and fortune. She is bound to find her true love soon.
